The juxtaposition of the log of the Demeter with Mr. Swales' monologue about empty graves of men lost at sea is one of my favorite products of Dracula Daily.
In the original book they are not back to back. With the chronological order we can see clearly that there are men on the Demeter whose bodies will never return home at the same time that Mina is talking to Mr. Swales.
Like two bands playing at the same time, but neither can hear each other. Only the reader sees them both.

i tried to do sth with cuttlefish, beard like tentacles, masks, maybe venetian mask stuff, eye imagery... i feel like there's potential on how to make a design that fucks hard but idk if i'm there yet
